Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancers diagnosed in men. Since there are few symptoms in its early stages, early detection is important. The Cancer Care Center at St. Anthony’s is sponsoring free screenings consisting of a simple PSA (prostate-specific antigen) blood test. The American Cancer Society recommends that men make an informed decision with their doctor about whether to be tested for prostate cancer. This discussion should take place at age 50 for men who are at average risk of prostate cancer and are expected to live at least 10 more years. It should take place earlier for men at high risk of prostate cancer. All participants can enter to win a gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant.
